Arkansas Woman Finds a Hidden Pool Under Her Floorboards

In a truly remarkable discovery, glasswork artist Emily Henry recently embarked on a home renovation project that led to an astonishing find beneath the floorboards of her family’s Arkansas-based residence. As she began renovating a spare room, Henry soon realized that there was more to her hardwood floors than met the eye. To her surprise, an entire pool and accompanying hot tub were hidden beneath the surface. Sharing her mind-blowing revelation on TikTok, the artist garnered both excitement and skepticism from her followers.

Why Was This Pool Under The Floor?

While some skeptics couldn’t help but conjure up thoughts of sinister happenings surrounding the concealed pool, Henry decided to make the most of this extraordinary feature. However, rather than restoring the pool to its former glory, she and her family opted for a transformation that would turn the space into a captivating atrium.

The decision to convert the pool area into an atrium was not made lightly, as Henry considered their love for the outdoors and the natural beauty surrounding their home. Explaining her thought process in a TikTok update, she expressed, “Although lots of you wanted to see this restored back into [a] pool… we decided that being surrounded by these crystal clear lakes and being such outdoorsy people, it wouldn’t make sense for us to have an indoor pool.”

Inspired by her passion for glasswork and her desire for a serene sanctuary, Henry shared her vision for the space. “I hope to fill this room with stained glass, lots and lots of plants, and a small little koi pond for us to enjoy,” she revealed. With plans to incorporate a running water feature, complete with a small waterfall and stream, the transformation promises to be nothing short of enchanting.

To bring her vision to life, Henry has taken steps to make the atrium a true oasis. She has added soil around the small ponds, allowing her to plant a variety of lush foliage that will create an immersive green environment. Further enhancing the space, she plans to construct a living wall and even install a hammock for ultimate relaxation and escapism.
