Making a mark on the pool industry
Paolo Benedetti is the founder and president of Aquatic Technology Pool & Spa, a California firm working on custom watershapes and complex aquatic projects. His practice brings together design, construction consulting and the technical planning required to make ambitious pools function as intended.
Benedetti established Aquatic Technology in 1993. His work ranges from luxury residential environments to specialized installations where hydraulics, structure, materials and lighting must be considered together. He collaborates with homeowners, architects and construction teams, and also provides expert-witness services.
In Pool Magazine, Benedetti has been both an interview subject and a regular technical contributor. His Swimming Pool Expert Witness columns examine construction details, safety, code compliance and quality control. His contribution to Brandon Miller’s Louisiana project illustrates another side of that work: detailed construction and hydraulic planning in support of a collaborative build.
An industry instructor, Benedetti shares field experience to help professionals understand the decisions behind a durable pool. His influence extends from the finished watershape to the standards and construction habits that shape the industry.
