โBefore robotics, I was a pressure-side guy. I think it stemmed from the days of the Arneson Pool Sweep and later expanded into Polaris pressure-side cleaners. I was never a fan of suction-side cleaners. In the Midwest, they would clog skimmer or pump baskets too quickly with debris and put major strain on the pump. Cavitation and shaft seal failures were common.
My own pool, which I built in 2006 in the shape of a famous rodent, proved to be a challenge for pressure-side cleaners because, at the time, most had a maximum hose length of only 30 feet.
