On the other hand, the president and owner of Aqua-Gon, Phil Horvath, says that partnering with Heritage looks promising. The success of Heritage Supply Group over the years

Heritage is the second pool company to venture nationwide this year. In the past twenty years, the pool and spa distribution industry was only dominated by one company. Founded in 2018, Heritage Landscape and Supply have tremendously grown over the past few years. Now, Heritage is supplying its services to up to 135 locations in 25 states in America. The company owes its rapid growth to the established distributors it acquired. Heritage has approximately 15 to 20 branches that were the recently acquired distributors.

The operations of the company

Heritage company says that they seek to create an independent family more than establishing a national channel. Thus, the company prefers that all acquired distributors operate on their own like before. The previous owners continue to operate like before. Nevertheless, all administrative duties are dealt with by Heritage. Additionally, Heritage does not expect these distributors to change their brand names. They will continue operating and meeting customer needs in their local area. Keep in mind that local pool owners are already familiar with our acquired distributors. Therefore, changing their brand name might lower our sales in the respective areas.

McDermott says, “As Heritage Pool Supply Group, they will help their distributors to operate to their maximum potential. But this does not mean that they will alter their brand name. Heritage also plans to grow by giving its employees leadership roles. In particular, the company plans to make its employees shareholders of the company in the near future.

Heritage Pool Supply Group is not selective when it comes to choosing partners

It is not clear where Heritage plans to start first. Also, the company has not set any deadlines for all the set goals. McDermott says that the company will identify its service locations based on the opportunities available. He says that they cannot jump into any market blindly. There’s a lot they need to evaluate before venturing into a particular market. The company is very deliberate in meeting and working with the most professional people.

Fortunately, the company is very flexible on the companies they plan to work with. Nevertheless, there have to be principals that align with their values before they choose to work with you. But generally, Heritage is not looking for owners who plan to leave the sale immediately does not cater to their requirements.

Currently, PoolCorp holds a significant market share in the pool industry. McDermott says that there’s space for everyone in the pool industry. All companies can win and coexist really well.”

Two private equity groups, Leonard Green & Partners and Boston-based Berkshire Partners, back up this company.

Online Retailers Are Leveling The Playing Field in 2023

The retail industry has faced numerous challenges in recent years, and 2023 is no exception. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the industry, with many retailers experiencing closures, reduced foot traffic, and decreased sales. Over time, we started expanding categories and it quickly became known that glass tile was our core competency.”

Today AquaBlu Mosaics has become a leading source for many products that pool professionals use on a daily basis. The website has been growing its inventory by rapidly adding new distributors. The company is also on a mission to win hearts and minds within the industry itself, according to Vitori.

“We’re excited to say that we’ve experienced great growth since 2013,” said Vitori, “we put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the company. I’m humbled when I say I feel that in the online world, AquaBlu Mosaics has positioned itself as the go-to online distributor for all things pertaining to pool tile, accessories, and outdoor living furniture. Fast forward to 2023. I’m proud to say that AquaBlu is becoming more of a household name. Vitori attributes a big reason for growth to its internet and marketing strategy. Aqua Blu Mosaics ranks as one of the top websites in a search query for pool tile. The website dominates for many pool-related keywords on popular products they sell on their website.

“I want to say that glass tile is at least 40% of our sales. We really have become the go-to guys for all of the specialty products. I like to say that we have all the fun stuff. We’re a small group and very boutique in nature but offer unparalleled customer service,” said Vitori.

The retailer credits engagement with pool professionals at numerous levels as another factor for growth and has been eager to expand AquaBlu’s builder network. “We have a wholesale program that’s called our AquaPro Trade Network, where we offer extremely competitive rates to our pool builders, contractors, designers, and landscape architects,” explained Vitori.

The strategy is one that retailers like him are using to great success. Ecommerce sites like AquaBlu Mosaics have been able to thrive in the face of a changing economy in a number of different ways. One key factor is their ability to reach a wider audience than traditional brick-and-mortar retailers. Online stores can sell to customers anywhere in the world, which has helped them to weather economic downturns and shifts in local consumer behavior.

One trend Vitori spotted early last year was an increase in the sale of artificial grass which he credits to the ongoing drought in many parts of the country. “It all makes logical sense, right? I mean, a lot of homeowners are trying to mitigate their water expenses. Some people also don’t like lawn maintenance,” said Vitori.

Vitori says being a leading online retailer gives him a distinct advantage over brick-and-mortar stores.
